Time to go home (again)

Currently waiting at Changi Airport while typing this blog. The flight is due in 10 minutes so maybe this can not be far. There are some regrets left while going home:

1. I missed the Formula 1 Race big time. I really wished I could have been a part of the first night race, but now it’s left with a wish. My expectation now is that Ferrari takes the one two spots in the finish line. Anyhow, it’s a street race where overtaking is less probable and Massa got the pole position. Woohoo!

2. I didn’t have the chance to go to the mooncake festival in Chinese Garden, not that saddening though since I was reluctant to go but there’s a little inside that still argued “I should have gone.”

3. I didn’t make many visits to new places this time. Singapore’s flyer? Singapore’s Zoo? Maybe next time.

Anyway, I’m going home and planning many things for today: playing DotA, going to cafe to watch F1, sightseeing with my friends. I’ll definitely skip cleaning today though my room may have been so messy after being left out for like three weeks. Hey, it’s day-off, I reserve the right to be laid-back at least today.

See you later, in Jakarta!

Meet and Greet with Kimi Raikkonen

The yesterday’s meet and greet session at Paragon – Orchard really absorbed the fans – which were 70% of them girls – that rushed to come and wait expecting to meet their idol driver, Kimi Raikkonen. Some of them even came like two hours before the session to get the frontmost view of the defending champion from the Ferrari who will compete to defend his title in the Formula 1 Singapore GP, this weekend.

To the fans disappointment, there was no photo and autograph session even for those who waited like crazy long before the event, not even for most of the VIP users invited for the cocktail party and had the chance to reserve the place in the middle of the atrium. Two lucky kids and a pair of man and woman were very lucky though to have a photo session together which a fan shouted to the occurence “Damn lucky kids!” and followed by “Damn lucky bastards!” after! Kimi himself excluding the press conference apparently only appeared like half an hour, but it was long enough to get the fans shouting his name hysterically and pushing so hard to get close to their idol.

Kimi is leaving a signature. Look at the fans, they are shouting his name crazily!

The Singapore GP is counting minutes before the race officially started. More events surely will heat up the Singapore. Lewis Hamilton showed up suddenly two days ago in Ngee Ann City. Traffic jam and congestion which rarely occur in Singapore are starting to affect the motorist going near the track. Tickets are sold anywhere in the blackmarket – just google. Office workers are already planning either to sneak into the race to view the race freely or for those who don’t care will plan how to evade the affected area. It’s surely exciting to see what the first night race ever of Formula one will bring to this little country.

Sunday Afternoon Clatter

I’ve kept this post for days but finally had the chance to post this.

It’s sunday afternoon, and i’m sitting at one of my most fav place to idle around accompanied by a cup of coca cola from 7/11 and my fav mp3s, waiting for the time to pass slowly. It’s always lovely to see little kids running around chasing birds on the ground, old and young couples who are walking while holding hands, and people who are taking photographs with various poses. They say, being lazy is another art to be mastered.

I’m thinking, daydreaming, if i’m allowed to ever brag about my current life, it’s the fog of uncertainty that always litters around my surrounding. Like, I never know when I’m going to be really busy and when I’m going to be really free. Or, like I have no idea where im going to be in just another week or month to come. I’ve been moving around recently with schedule I can never predict.

While for some people this would okay, i’m basically a stable person who takes time to adapt and cope with changes. The uncertainty definely wears me out bit by bit. It’s hard for me to plan holiday or a trip since I don’t know if i’m going to ever be needed on that day. I’m a laid back person who loves to play around, but I don’t neglect my responsibility. I don’t like burdening my colleagues with tasks that are initially not their responsibilities. Even if i’m sick or in public holiday, I’ll worry and check whether my users submitted any issue.

I missed the rare to come chance to watch the first ever Formula 1 night race. The ticket is sold out. Now im planning a holiday in a month to come. Cross your fingers for me. Good afternoon!

JSLs are no more

Once upon a time, dated back a year or two years ago, there was a conversation like this in a dining table near the Binus:

Mbek: “There’s no way we can win against the Pangeran Cinta:PC – Prince of Love -” *giving the saluting bow with two hands floating in the air*

PC: *with trying to give arrogant look* “No.. it’s normal.. it’s just differences in experience.”

Me: “So now it’s left with Mbek and Djadul (Wira was not mentioned at that time)”

Mbek: *sad* “Hiks.. this is the fate of JSL”

Everyone: “What the heck is that?”

Mbek: “Jomblo sejak lahir – Single since born-”

Well, now the table is turned. The three JSLs are no more. September seems to be an interesting – if not mysterious – month with the current status of the three:

Mbek: The status at FS and Facebook: “In a relationship”. Promised me to update the blog,  but promise was left with promise. *Mana Mbek?! Mana?!*

Djadul: Although puzzled whether he’s engaged or not, at least he’s totally happy that it’s already no different with being a relationship or not. The scary Djadul now can smile :) .

Wira: Hiding within the bed, but finally the curtain was lifted that he finally got engaged secretly eventhough after months which were too obvious that it’s going to be such soon enough. Still, “No internet”, “forgot that I have your SG phone’s number” don’t make up good excuses!

Congrats everyone :) . Salute for all for their own love stories.
