This is from twenty two days ago from Somerset Central construction site at the heart of Singapore : Somerset – Orchard road:
And this is from yesterday:
How about in Indonesia? These kind of incidents often seem like a normal occurance. Project without incident is rarely a target, what matters that the project is completed in a timely and profitability manner. Safety is definitely against the aspect of profit since it’s just expensive and time consuming (the preparation, the guideliness on the ’safe time’ to work). I found a very interesting post regarding this at Wiryanto Dewobroto’s blog.
Sadly, often the issue is that not only the owner of the project doesn’t care about its workers safety, the workers themselves often neglect the safety procedure which would just simply save their lives.
Do you still remember the incidents of fire in Grand Indonesia hotel construction several months ago or incidents at Pacific Place construction’s site?
We often compromise with working time – overtime -, salary – underpayment -, but should we also play with safety – death – ?

meh, indo kebanyakan penduduk, mati bbrp ga masalah dibanding boss2 kontraktor musti bayar duit buat naikin safety level. gitu loh mas :p
@vic: well.. g ini pemegang paham.. “every single human life matters” (on certain extreme exception
)
