My 25th birthday was rather special in a way, not because it’s a good number, but it was the first time I spent my birthday not in the country where I was residing at the time. I had traveled to Vienna and spent with my closest people there in the capital of music. It was pretty different as of course you couldn’t do some grandiose celebration but it’s a mixed bag also with the exploration of new places and also at the same time contemplation after a full day touring the city.

Talking about contemplation, I think my points were still pretty much about what I mentioned in a different post nearly two months ago. As usual, I would like to put in some resolutions for my birthday which also happens to be very close to the new year hence I can use them for both purposes, which is why I would save it for my usual end of year self review.

In Leuven, Belgium, the city that I’ve lived for the past three months, my very nice university friends also held an early birthday celebration for me on December 7, 2011. Thanks, it was really meaningful and it was when I was so close to getting drunk for the first time in my life, not great.

Thanks to the special people that made my birthday celebration happened by travelling miles away from the far east. I may still be green but I believe there’ll come a day when I’m ready to move on. Till then, I guess, I will stick with exploring new things and staying as young as I can at heart!
